Welcome to Morocco! Meet your driver upon arrival in Tangier, the historic port city connecting Africa and Europe.
Depending on your arrival time, enjoy a short exploration of Tangier or travel directly towards Chefchaouen in the Rif Mountains.
On the way, stop near Akchour for an optional two-to-three-hour hike through a beautiful natural landscape of forest trails, streams and pools. Discover the Akchour waterfalls before continuing to Chefchaouen.
After arriving in Morocco’s famous Blue City, explore the narrow streets and blue-painted houses of the historic Medina. Walk through Place Outa el Hammam, the lively central square surrounded by cafés and restaurants.
Admire the Grand Mosque from the outside and visit Chefchaouen’s historic Kasbah, which contains peaceful gardens, a small museum and former prison cells.

Walk through Fes el-Bali, the city’s oldest quarter and part of the UNESCO-listed Medina. Its maze of narrow streets contains traditional markets, historic schools, mosques, fountains and artisan workshops.
Visit the famous Chouara Tannery and observe the traditional process used to prepare and dye leather. A nearby terrace provides a panoramic view of the tannery’s colourful stone basins.
Continue to Al Attarine Madrasa, an outstanding example of Moroccan architecture decorated with carved cedarwood, sculpted plaster and colourful zellige tiles.
Visit the area surrounding Al-Qarawiyyin Mosque and University, one of the world’s oldest continuously operating centres of learning. Non-Muslim visitors can admire the decorated interior from the entrance when access permits.
Browse the traditional souks and observe artisans producing ceramics, metalwork, leather products and woven textiles.
Continue to Fes el-Jdid to explore the historic Mellah, the former Jewish quarter, and see the impressive gates of the Royal Palace.
Return to your riad after completing the guided tour.

Leave Fes after breakfast and travel west towards Rabat, Morocco’s present-day capital.
Begin your visit at Chellah, a historic fortified site containing both ancient Roman remains and medieval Islamic ruins. Walk through its peaceful gardens and discover centuries of Moroccan history.
Continue to the Kasbah of the Udayas. Enter through its monumental gate and explore the quiet blue-and-white streets overlooking the Bou Regreg River and Atlantic Ocean.
Relax in the Andalusian Gardens before visiting Hassan Tower and the Mausoleum of Mohammed V. Hassan Tower was intended to form part of a monumental mosque, but construction stopped during the twelfth century. The unfinished minaret and rows of stone columns remain among Rabat’s most recognisable landmarks.
After exploring Rabat, continue along the Atlantic coast to Casablanca, Morocco’s largest city and economic centre.

Begin the day with a visit to the magnificent Hassan II Mosque, Casablanca’s most famous landmark. Built beside the Atlantic Ocean, the mosque features an impressive 210-metre minaret and extraordinary Moroccan craftsmanship.
Join an authorised guided visit when available to explore the interior. Admire the carved wood, decorated plaster, marble floors, mosaics and painted ceilings created by skilled Moroccan artisans.
Continue to the Habous Quarter, also known as Casablanca’s New Medina. Explore its arcades, traditional shops, bookshops and markets selling olives, spices and local products.
Take a walk along the Corniche, Casablanca’s Atlantic seaside promenade. You may also visit Rick’s Café, a modern restaurant inspired by the classic film Casablanca.
In the afternoon, leave Casablanca and travel south to Marrakech. The journey normally takes approximately three hours, depending on traffic and road conditions.

Continue into the Medina and discover its colourful traditional markets. Explore sections specialising in spices, metalwork, leather products, carpets, jewellery and traditional Moroccan slippers.
As you walk through the souks, observe the historic fondouks. These buildings once provided accommodation and storage for merchants travelling with trade caravans.
Continue towards some of Marrakech’s most important monuments. Depending on the selected itinerary, visit Bahia Palace, the Saadian Tombs, Ben Youssef Madrasa or El Badi Palace.
In the late afternoon, return to Jemaa el-Fna as the square fills with food vendors, musicians, storytellers and traditional performers.
Enjoy dinner at a local restaurant or watch the activity from a rooftop café while drinking Moroccan mint tea.
